오늘의 말씀과 묵상. 2023년 12월 16일 토요일 <제1독서> ▥ 집회서의 말씀입니다. 48,1-4.9-11 그 무렵 1 엘리야 예언자가 불처럼 일어섰는데 그의 말은 횃불처럼 타올랐다. 2 엘리야는 그들에게 굶주림을 불러들였고 자신의 열정으로 그들의 수를 감소시켰다. 3 주님의 말씀에 따라 그는 하늘을 닫아 버리고 세 번씩이나 불을 내려보냈다. 4 엘리야여, 당신은 놀라운 일들로 얼마나 큰 영광을 받았습니까? 누가 당신처럼 자랑스러울 수 있겠습니까? 9 당신은 불 소용돌이 속에서 불 마차에 태워 들어 올려졌습니다. 10 당신은 정해진 때를 대비하여 주님의 분노가 터지기 전에 그것을 진정시키고 아버지의 마음을 자식에게 되돌리며 야곱의 지파들을 재건하리라고 기록되어 있습니다. 11 당신을 본 사람들과 사랑 안에서 잠든 사람들은 행복합니다. 우리도 반드시 살아날 것입니다. 주님의 말씀입니다. ◎ 하느님, 감사합니다. <복음> ✠ 마태오가 전한 거룩한 복음입니다. 17,10-13 산에서 내려올 때에 10 제자들이 예수님께, “율법 학자들은 어찌하여 엘리야가 먼저 와야 한다고 말합니까?” 하고 물었다. 11 그러자 예수님께서 대답하셨다. “과연 엘리야가 와서 모든 것을 바로잡을 것이다. 12 내가 너희에게 말한다. 엘리야는 이미 왔지만, 사람들은 그를 알아보지 못하고 제멋대로 다루었다. 그처럼 사람의 아들도 그들에게 고난을 받을 것이다.” 13 그제야 제자들은 그것이 세례자 요한을 두고 하신 말씀인 줄을 깨달았다. 주님의 말씀입니다. ◎ 그리스도님, 찬미합니다. <오늘의 묵상> 오늘(12/16)부터 성탄맞이 9일기도를 준비하였습니다. 어제까지는 새로운 날, 그 마지막 날에 오실 예수님을 기다리던 대림시기였다면 오늘부터는 이전에 구약의 완성으로서 우리를 향한 하느님의 선물로서 오셨던 예수님을 기억하는 대림시기입니다. 온 몸과 마음으로 함께 기도드리며 예수님께 우리의 정성을 함께 기울이면 좋겠습니다. 성탄9일기도 첫째날 <베들레헴을 향하여> 첫째 날 12월16일 : 예루살렘 성전 (마태 21, 9-13) 그리고 앞서 가는 군중과 뒤따라가는 군중이 외쳤다. “다윗의 자손께 호산나! 주님의 이름으로 오시는 분은 복되시어라. 지극히 높은 곳에 호산나!”이렇게 하여 예수님께서 예루살렘에 들어가시니 온 도성이 술렁거리며, “저분이 누구냐?” 하고 물었다.그러자 군중이“저분은 갈릴래아 나자렛 출신 예언자 예수님이시오.” 하고 대답하였다. 예수님께서는 성전에 들어가시어, 그곳에서 사고팔고 하는 자들을 모두 쫓아내시고, 환전상들의 탁자와 비둘기 장수들의 의자를둘러엎으셨다. 그리고 그들에게 말씀하셨다.“‘나의 집은 기도의 집이라 불릴 것이다.’라고 기록되어 있다. 그런데 너희는 이 곳을 ‘강도들의 소굴’로 만드는구나.” (마태21, 9-13)
***************************************************************************** 우리는 성탄 신비의 묵상을 시작하며 예수 생애의 마지막을 향하고 있던 성전 안에서 일어난 사건을 선택합니다. 태초에 하느님은 인간을 조화와 순결로 창조하셨지만, 인간은 하느님으로부터 벗어나 자신의 방식대로 살고자 했고, 그리스도께서는 역사 안으로 인간을 찾아 오셨지만 인간은 숨어버립니다. 이와 마찬가지로 성전은 하느님을 경배하는 거룩한 곳으로 창조되었지만, 인간은 이 곳을 가난한 이들을 속여서 부당이익을 취하는 상거래의 장소로 변질시켰습니다. 결국 성전은 약한 이들, 가난한 이들의 착취의 장소가 되고 말았습니다. 그리스도께서는 사람들이 이 장소의 성스러움을 재인식하고, 하느님께 공간을 내어드릴 것을 요구하십니다. 하느님께 공간을 드린다는 것은 예수님의 오심을 준비하면서 그의 말씀을 경청하고 생활화 하는 것이며, 그 분이 나를 보실 수 있게 자주 그 분을 찾는 것입니다. Day One. God's Love Revealed In His Becoming Man. Thought: Because our first parent Adam had rebelled against God, he was driven out of paradise and brought on himself and all his descendants the punishment of eternal death. But the son of God, seeing man thus lost and wishing to save him from death, offered to take upon Himself our human nature and to suffer death Himself, condemned as a criminal on a cross. "But, My Son," we may imagine the eternal Father saying to Him, "think of what a life of humiliations and sufferings Thou wilt have to lead on earth. Thou wilt have to be born in a cold stable and laid in a manger, the feeding trough of beasts. While still an infant, Thou wilt have to flee into Egypt, to escape the hands of Herod. After Thy return from Egypt, Thou wilt have to live and work in a shop as a lowly servant, poor and despised. And finally, worn out with sufferings, Thou wilt have to give up Thy life on a cross, put to shame and abandoned by everyone." "Father," replies the Son, "all this matters not. I will gladly bear it all, if only I can save man." What should we say if a prince, out of compassion for a dead worm, were to choose to become a worm himself and give his own life blood in order to restore the worm to life? But the eternal Word has done infinitely more than this for us. Though He is the sovereign Lord of the world, He chose to become like us, who are immeasurably more beneath Him than a worm is beneath a prince, and He was willing to die for us, in order to win back for us the life of divine grace that we had lost by sin. When He saw that all the other gifts which He had bestowed on us were not sufficient to induce us to pray His love with love, He became man Himself and gave Himself all to us. "The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us;" "He loved us and delivered Himself up for us." Prayer: O Great Son of God, Thou hast become man in order to make Thyself loved by men. But where is the love that men give Thee in return? Thou hast given Thy life blood to save our souls. Why then are we so unappreciative that, instead of repaying Thee with love, we spurn Thee with ingratitude? And I, Lord, I myself more than others have thus ill treated Thee. But Thy Passion is my hope. For the sake of that love which led Thee to take upon Thyself human nature and to die for me on the cross, forgive me all the offenses I have committed against Thee. I love Thee, O Word Incarnate; I love Thee, O infinite goodness. Out of love for Thee, that I could die of grief for these offenses. Give me, O Jesus, Thy love. Let me no longer live in ungrateful forgetfulness of the love Thou bearest me. I wish to love Thee always. Grant that I may always preserve in this holy desire. O Mary, Mother of God and my Mother, pray for me that thy Son may give me the grace to love Him always, unto death. Amen.
